Preamble

“KAKINADA TOWN BANK”, or “The Kakinada Co-operative Town Bank Ltd.” or “Bank” means The Kakinada Co-operative Town Bank Ltd., registered under the Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Societies Act 7 of 1964 under registration No. 9583/79 E dated 12/03/1980, with its registered office at #11-3-6, Veterinary Hospital Street, RamaraoPeta, Kakinada, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh – 533004.

This Mobile Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to users of mobile banking through The Kakinada Co-operative Town Bank Ltd. The term “Kakinada Town Bank”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to The Kakinada Co-operative Town Bank Ltd. and its affiliates or subsidiaries. This Policy describes how the mobile banking application (“Kakinada Town Bank mobile app” or “Mobile Banking Application”) collects, uses, and shares information from or about you.

Agreement to Policy

By using the Mobile Banking Application on any device, you consent to this Policy, including the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described herein. Other privacy policies of the Bank may apply in addition to this Mobile Privacy Policy.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Information we may collect through mobile banking includes:

– Information voluntarily provided during registration such as your name, primary account number, alias account, secondary accounts, mobile number, and contact details.
– Transaction information and data resulting from your usage of mobile banking services.

We do not collect additional mobile device data using cookies or similar technologies. We also do not share your information with any third party unless required by law or necessary for resolving disputes.

Communications

We may use your personal information to send newsletters, updates, promotional materials, and service-related notifications.

Security

We implement several security measures to protect your information. Reply messages sent by the Mobile Banking system use masking features to hide a portion of your account numbers.

To authorize access, you must always use your MPIN/OTP provided by or set within the Bank’s application. We strongly advise you not to disclose your MPIN/OTP to anyone.

While we use commercially acceptable methods to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security despite our best efforts.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective from 01/10/2020 and will remain in effect unless amended. Any updates will become effective immediately once posted on this page.

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, and you are advised to review it periodically. Continued use of the Mobile Banking Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. The Bank is not obligated to individually notify customers of changes.
